TESTIMONIALS

In all my 45 years of teaching, coaching and choreographing it has been rare to find a mature adult that takes the art seriously, studiously and comes with an "empty cup" to learn. Tamara has all these traits and her inspiration to "do it right," to love the process of training in her art form is truly a pleasure of working with her...Tamara Saj is a serious, talented growing artist that has my highest respect.

Teodoro Morca, www.morca.com, 2008

Tamara is one rare US flamenco dancer that has a natural musical, rhythmic and performance ability that allows her to spontaneously improvise footwork, percussions, accents and expressive movement.  She is simply fearless and gifted as she dives into and dwells in this art form she so loves and respects.

Ceci Walcek, POC for Antonio Vargas, 2006

"Tamara's dancing is extravagant.
She is a presence that demands to be seen."

Michele "La Miguelita" Serratore, www.flarumba.com
Founder, American Flamenco Theater

I hate working with dancers. They become paralyzed if their music isn't perfect each and every time. Their steps are so rigidly choreographed that most Flamenco dancers only dance to cd's. The one exception to this is La Tamara who I actually look forward to performing with. Nothing is presented the same at each gig. Each palo is improvised according to how we or the audience feels---with excellent success. She pays strict attention to Flamenco ' s tradition while at the same time turning it upside down-inside out That was how old-school Flamencos performed.

!Ole, guapa, que salero, que gracia, toma que toma que toma que toma ta, que energia, que talento, mira como zapatea,  que ritmo...Tamara puede transmitir lo que siente por cada poro de su piel. y cada movimiento de su cuerpo..Ole!

Nydia Vargas, Rota, Spain

....illusive butterfly with the dynamo wings... Tamara Saj's dance inspires the rhythm and need to breathe... it inspires the "godsend" relief from inequity...it is pure in form and honest in intent...it is our basic instinct to survive....
